Matt began music on a classic Jaymar 25 key toy piano at 9 years of age.
With no musical training or education (self-taught), he practiced applying himself originally in a couple different neighborhood bands—first as a keyboardist, eventually picking up bass after discovering Rush, and moving into the world of sound when he purchased a Yamaha MR1642 mixing console and two Yamaha S4115 powered 15 inch speakers.
This negated the need for the gym as he became the neighborhood DJ for all the beer induced parties that lasted until sunrise. In fact, he didn’t even get his first car until age 24, though he had the best and loudest sound system, bass rig and keyboard setup in the neighborhood for a punk his age.
In time, Matt went on to form several original bands writing, arranging and composing a majority of the music and lyrics while also handling sound and early attempts at recording and production. He founded Media Pro in 1998, and began recording projects for musicians, and DJing weddings and parties professionally. In 2002, he relocated to Salem, MO, which made finding other musicians who could fit the bill for his style nearly impossible. This would eventually lead him to learn drums and guitar which enabled him to record over 100+ original songs. Matt to date, has written over 400 original songs throughout his 12 different studio set-ups.

He also moved into video production in 2009, creating music videos for his solo work, and eventually his own podcast, TEC, “The Exploration of Consciousness” in 2010. He has since produced multiple documentaries on sacred geometry, consciousness and the like, writing his own original music as the score to these productions.
Matt continues on to this day with his TEC & TEC TALK podcast and Media Production Services. He is currently in a super-secret order, OOTO – Order of the One, a power trio project—writing, composing and recording new material with a forthcoming release date. Stay tuned for more!
