"Thank you, OOTO... The track rocks! The instrumentation is solid and well coordinated, the riffs are epic, and the arrangement tells a great story. The lyrics hit me hard on a personal level. Back then, I avoided the shot, but wore the mask to go about my business. I despised my Self each time I put it on and I won't forget it. Even before the plan-demic, that "mask" took another form, masking my authentic Self. It's taken a long time to come to terms with that, and this track helped to cement it. But as the song goes, I'm working every new day to redeem my Self, to walk through that door once more, to become the here-o of my own story. Finally, I came across this playlist on Spotify - Greatest Metal Songs of All Time. There is a contact email for suggestions and I submitted "Masked Man" as a candidate for the playlist. "I can Honestly say that was really good, enjoyable & most importantly has a high enough replay value to add to a playlist, for me personally, my Metalcore playlist of bands (All That Remains, Killswitch Engage, Eidola, DreamShade, Any Given Day). Your other song "Wholly Trail" almost has an Anthrax sound with more modern metal elements added, that’s what grabbed me because that type of metal/rock was foreign to me until I first heard "Safe Home" by Anthrax, then I became a huge fan. But the Breakdown section of Black Swan, BRUH!! That sounded exactly like this Prog-Metal band i Used to listen to a lot called Vox Tempus. Quality Stuff Man! And I hear some elements of my currently favorite Prog-Metal Band Evergrey, so all around this sound feels at home to me. The Metal Scene Desperately needs Bands in alignment with Natural Law.
