The Story of the ORDER OF THE ONE (OOTO) is as Follows:
Rob Kainz (Lightning) met Matt Presti (Thunder) at the University of Science and Philosophy in 2023. They hit it off, discovering each other’s love for music and began the writing phase of an upcoming EP release TBA. They currently have three songs published and six others in the works—including “Masked Man”, an epic hero’s journey through the covid era.
Together, they sought out a drummer and found Glenn Welman, who performed on “The Wholly Trail.” When a friend of a friend tipped Lightning off to another drummer not far from Lightning’s home in Cary, NC, contact was made and OOTO’s next two singles, “Black Swan” and “The Divine” were performed by drummer extraordinaire, Ryan Masecar (Earthquake). These three forces of Nature found an unstoppable rhythm, power, and unity, which clearly unfolds in the music. Truly a God-like production, Lightning and Thunder hope to take Earthquake and tour the cosmos with music written from the deep heart of the Universal Soul.
The lyrics honor the Western Mystical Tradition with profoundly deep meaning and metaphor for thinkers and explorers alike, who can “learn things while they listen.” Musically inspiring melodies and cadences—nuanced with precision, OOTO’s timing and writing style have flavors of Rush, Dream Theater, Tool and other prog masters. The soaring vocals and dramatic harmonies give a precise blend of magic to every song, melody, and chorus.
